What are bunker stem surveys?
Bunker stem surveys occur onboard the vessel prior to stemming bunkers to prevent bunker supply shortage.
Bunker cost are one of the largest operating expense incurred in a voyage.
With such high costs involved, it becomes imperative for the charters to know the exact bunker quantities onboard at the time of supplying bunkers.
We measure the exact fuel oil on board of the vessel and bunker barge prior bunkering and after bunkering.
After completion of the survey we provide the client with a detailed report, signed and stamped by our surveyor, the captain and chief engineer of the vessel and a copy of the bunker delivery note.
If requested bunker samples can be taken and tested for watercontent, viscosity and density.
